We know that 100% of 649 is, well, just 649.**Step 2:**If 100% of 649 is 649, then we can get 1% of 649 by dividing it by 100. Let's do 649 / 100. This is equal to 6.49. Now we know that 1% is 6.49.**Step 3:**Now that we know what 1% of 649 is, we just need to multiply it by 1 to get our solution! 6.49 times 1 = 6.49. That's all there is to it!
